HOME: LIVING-ROOM LIST

Hey Guys,

This is my To-Do list for my living-room.. This was going to be my last room to decorate but ended up being the first.. Which I guess makes sense because I spend the most time in here..

SHORT TERM

prime and paint the skirting boards crisp white - DONE

Prime and paint the living room and kitchen door - DONE

Prime and paint ALL the brown wood including the window, TV unit, 'under the stairs' cupboards and electric box cupboard - 85% DONE

Strip all the wall paper -DONE

Put up new wallpaper (I just want plain paper that I can paint) - DONE

Modify (get rid of the fancy ribbons and flowers) and paint the fireplace - 90% DONE

Remove and replace the curtains -50% DONE

Add artwork (I would love a wall of photos and artwork behind the sofa) 

Change the door knobs (9 small ones)

Change the door handles

Add a mirror over the fireplace

Organise the storage areas properly in lovely boxes.

LONG TERM

Replace the carpets with hardwood

Replace the sofa with a cloth corner one in dark grey

Find the perfect coffee table 

Find the perfect side tables ( or maybe storage behind the sofa like YHL #2 home) 

Change the sockets for crisp white ones

Get a socket added in the built in TV unit 

Change the spot lights in the built ins

HOME: HALLWAY LIST

Hey Guys,

Out of the five rooms and a large cupboard in my new home... All five need redecorating... 

Here is my list of things that need changed.. Starting with the: 

HALLWAY

SHORT TERM 

Paint the walls fresh white

Prime the doors

Paint the 5 doors white gloss 

Paint the front door dark blue (maybe)

Paint the ceiling crisp white

Prime and paint the skirting boards

Replace the gold accessories on the front door for silver ones

Find a pretty door mat

Hang a million pictures or mirrors (or both) 

Replace the lamp shade with something more modern

Make a shelf over the radiator (below a mirror) for a little key station etc

LONG TERM

Replace the carpet with hardwood flooring

Replace all the sockets for white ones

Maybe get a powerpoint or two added for the Hoover

Remove all the wallpaper and redo it (the ceiling has wood chip wallpaper!!) 

Replace the front door

Replace all the internal door handles (I would like the bedroom and bathroom ones to have privacy locks) 

Add better shelves in the "Glory Hole" cupboard.. I would like everything to have its own place.. recycling etc!

I started to paint the hall last weekend.. 4 coats in and it still needs another 2!! :( 

This list is ALOT longer than I thought it would be.. Oh dear.

ISLAY

Hey Guys,

I am super duper excited to let you all know I recently got a puppy and she is amazing.. 

She is a russet (red/golden) working cocker spaniel and was born on 19th September 2013. She has now happily settled into the family and I am soooooo exited to go for long walks again with a dog.. (I forgot how friendly dog people are!!) here are a couple adorable photos of her.. (I'm sure ill post lots more in the future but ill try keep them to a minimum!!) 

I am soooooooo in love!! Her adorable ears and eyes have got my through her eating all my pants and socks!!

HOLIDAYS

Hey,

What should you not do when you just buy a house..? Go on a holiday... Goodbye sofa, goodbye new kitchen plates... Oops. Well I would live in a cardboard box if it meant hanging with my family!!
